St. Luke’s Health System has an exciting opportunity for an Interpreter to join our team!             

Interpreter

Under the supervision of the Manager of Language Services, conduct medical and general interpreting for healthcare providers, patients and their families. Assess and monitor patient’s understanding of the information conveyed and keep healthcare providers in general informed as to the level of that understanding.

Required Criteria 

 

  • Certificate of Medical Interpretation Training.
  • Provide the Language Skills Assessment completed during Training or a comparable assessment to be determined by St. Luke’s
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Excellent bilingual skills (Spanish/English) which include both oral and written comprehension.

 

Preferred Criteria

Two years’ work experience as a Medical Interpreter preferred
