What You Can Expect:

  • Leadership Opportunities: Guide cross functional project teams using safety and high reliability science along with Lean-Six Sigma and other PI methodologies to reduce irrational variation and achieve demonstrated outcomes of reduced preventable harm. This role will be engaged in approaches that address risks to patients and our workforce; for example, reducing patient falls and patient handling strain injuries through implementation of safe patient handling & mobility best practices.
  • Data-Driven Impact: Analyze safety data with curiosity and foster strategic partnerships with thought leaders across the System to prioritize and advance life-impacting strategies that eliminate preventable harm. This role helps bridge the gap between evidence-based system standards and operational implementation.
  • Collaborative Team Culture: Our dynamic, multidisciplinary team is united by a shared passion for leveraging science to prevent harm. Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or experience in lieu of degree, minimum
  • Experience: 5 years
  • Licenses/Certification: None; CPPS and / or LSSGB preferred

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Operates as primary contact for designated site to ensure Safety, activities and initiatives meet system compliance requirements.
  • Maintains relationships with key stakeholders to ensure compliance requirements met.
  • Administers and coordinates operational activities related to Safety initiatives.
  • Assesses site for alignment with safety and high reliability standards to achieve and maintain clinical and operational excellence.
  • Oversees & supports on site audits and surveys, status reporting and makes recommendations on changes needed.
  • Communicates program priorities, policies, and procedures as they relate to strategic growth to clinical and system leadership.
  • Consults and makes recommendations to senior management and clinical departments on significant Safety issues.
  • Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group; may act as a "lead".
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
