Data and Analytics Lead – St Luke’s Health Partners

St. Luke’s Data and Analytics Department (D&A) is seeking to hire a Data and Analytics Lead to support St Luke’s Health Partners Analytics, Business Intelligence and Data Management needs.

 

As a D&A lead, you will be integral in developing and helping others develop innovative analytical solutions for business-critical decisions to support St Luke’s Health Partners’ critical business functions. The ideal candidate for this position would understand the health care value-based business, great communication skills, be a curious self-starter, have great analytical and problem-solving skills, and have a passion for delivering analytical solutions that enable time-sensitive, critical decisions. Previous technical or personnel leadership is a plus but not required.

 

Required Criteria:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years related experience

Responsibilities:

  • Partner and Learn:
    • Develop and enable team to develop a strong partnership with the business.  
    • Develop a deeper understanding of the value-based healthcare business functions, claims data, other data and analytical needs.
    • Co-develop recommendations, understand needs and lead group to deliver on requests.
    • Partner with business analysts to ensure they have the data and capabilities to self-serve.
  • Lead, coordinate and mentor:
    • Lead your small group to cover a broad range of Data and Analytics functions (data engineering, business intelligence development, business intelligence analysis.)
    • Mentor staff to develop skills and execute on assignments.
    • Ensure the team has clear requirements and the solutions are tested and validated.
    • Provide regular status reports and plans to Health Partner and D&A leaders.
    • Responsible for performance appraisals for positions under their direction; provides leadership guidance, counseling, and continuing education to staff.
  • Aligns and develops best practices
    • Align with D&A best practices within other groups.
    • Work with architects to implement solutions in alignment with standards.
    • Participate in developing and improving standards and best practices across D&A
    • Build cross functional relationships with data analytic teams and business leaders to understand information needs, data flows, and data quality
  • Working Lead
    • Gather requirements, develop and test data and analytical solutions for Health Partners.
    • Be available to support solutions as required by the business need.

Experience:

  • Health Care experience with an understanding of value-based health care.
  • Strong SQL experience, writing queries and stored procedures.
  • Experience with BI tools like PowerBI or Tableau
  • Experience with database management systems.
  • Experience in developing and communicating data warehouse data models
  • Exposure to data warehousing methodologies
  • Experience with REST and .NET preferred
  • Previous technical or personnel leadership is a plus.
