Overview

St. Luke's is seeking a dynamic and experienced Pharmacy Manager to join our team at the McCall Medical Center in McCall, Idaho. This critical role provides leadership and oversight for a small but highly dedicated team responsible for meeting the inpatient pharmacy needs at our Critical Access Care Facility.

 

As the Pharmacy Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of pharmaceutical services to our patients. You will lead a team of two Pharmacists and three Pharmacy Technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and support. The role involves overseeing pharmacy operations during the night shifts, but there is no weekend coverage required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians to ensure high-quality pharmacy services.

  • Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy department, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of inpatient medications and pharmaceutical care.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care and medication management.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards, including medication storage, dispensing, and patient confidentiality.

  • Manage inventory, budget, and staff scheduling, ensuring efficient and effective pharmacy operations during night shifts.

  • Stay current with the latest developments in pharmacy practice, implementing best practices within the department.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree from an accredited pharmacy program Experience: 3 years' experience (MBA or Pharmacy Residency in lieu of 2 years exp.)

     

  • Licenses/Certifications: Valid Pharmacist License in state of practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross
