We're looking for a Nurse Navigator to join our Survivorship/Supportive Oncology team!

 

Our St. Luke’s Cancer Institute (SLCI) clinics are dynamic, full-service outpatient hematology/oncology treatment centers offering chemo/bio/and radiation therapies. Patients and their families have trusted St. Luke’s Cancer Institute for more than 50 years for advanced, compassionate care for cancer blood disorders. Today we are a network of five cancer centers dedicated to state-of-the-art treatment close to home; patient-centered care and support; cutting-edge research; and community prevention, education, and early detection initiatives. St. Luke’s holds a Commission on Cancer (CoC) cancer program accreditation - this is a quality program of the American College of Surgeons which demonstrates a cancer program’s commitment to providing high-quality, multidisciplinary, patient-centered cancer care.

 

 

What you can expect from this role

 

The Cancer Institute’s Supportive Oncology programs really set us apart. We care for the whole person with support from our Survivorship Program, Social Work, Integrative Medicine (Acupuncture, Massage, and Yoga) Psychiatry, Palliative Care, Spiritual Care, Nutrition, Cancer Rehab, and Financial Advocates. The Nurse Navigator is a new role on our survivorship team. We are searching for a dynamic, oncology experienced, individual looking to be a partner in expanding our survivorship program.

  • Assess barriers to oncology care and offers support, coordination, guidance and education for patients and families with a new diagnosis of cancer
  • Work closely with our providers, primary RNs, and scheduling team
  • Focus on navigating adult patients with a cancer diagnosis
  • Support all five St. Luke’s Cancer Institute sites: Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Fruitland, and Twin Falls (some travel expectations)
  • Full-time: 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period), 5 x 8's
  • No nights, weekends, or St. Luke’s observed holidays
  • Hybrid option

  • Certification pay (ex. OCN)

 

Minimum qualifications for this role

  • Required Education: Nursing Degree
  • Required Experience: Two (2) + years’ RN experience
  • Required Licenses/Certifications: Current RN License in the State of Practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross
  • Preferred: Oncology experience and/or OCN certification
  • Preferred: RN license within the state of Oregon or willing to obtain once hired
