We are seeking an experienced contract manager to support complex contract negotiation and our contracting processes. This role requires familiarity with the elements of and principles of contract drafting, contract negotiation, and exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills.

 

What You Can Expect

The Legal Contract Manager is responsible for contract negotiation and the preparation, acceptance and management of contracts and subcontracts.

  • Provides direct support to the Corporate Transactions and Governance professional legal staff in the organization, including the preparation and interpretation of contracts and related documents.
  • Corresponds with internal stakeholders regarding the contracting process.
  • Responsible for independent review and negotiation of contracts pursuant to internal policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Responsible for utilizing experience and judgement to prioritize, plan, and accomplish goals and foster a positive team culture.
  • Relies on independent professional judgment to assess and mitigate contractual risk.
  • Collaborates with St. Luke’s legal counsel for the development of standard contracting processes, contract documents, including terms and conditions.
  • Establishes and administers contracting strategies to improve business performance and ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards.
  • Receives requests for drafting of contracts and gathers basic information concerning the proposed terms.
  • May provide training and education across the organization to strengthen processes.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) 
  • Six (6) years' relevant experience

OR 

  • Masters degree
  • Eight (8) years' relevant experience
