Works under close supervision and clearly defined policies and procedures.   Program Overview The program takes place over an 11-week timeframe. Each CNA-T will complete an 8-week academic program through a local community college in a hybrid model of in-person and online learning. Concurrently, apprentices will build on this learning through a St. Luke’s apprenticeship experience through clinical precepting, accented with in-class and simulation learning.   CNA-Ts will prepare and sit for the CNA credentialing exam at the end of the program. Upon passing, qualified individuals will be eligible to transfer to a Certified Nurse Assistant position in St. Luke’s.   Program Details  Individuals accepted into the program are hired as full-time employees. St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, ID is seeking a Full-Time Emergency Medicine Pharmacist to join our Inpatient Pharmacy Team on the night shift.   We are looking for an Emergency Medicine Pharmacist with board certification, residency (PGY2 Emergency Medicine or PGY2 Critical Care), and/or equivalent years of Emergency Department/Critical Care experience!    The Emergency Medicine Pharmacist will be an integral part of the Emergency Department Multidisciplinary Team. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, flexible, and a motivated learner to work in this dynamic and fast-paced environment.   Key responsibilities will include emergency response and trauma management including, but not limited to: - Code Blue - Code Critical/Rapid Response - Code STEMI - Code CVA - Priority Level Trauma - Antimicrobial stewardship with antibiotic selection/initiation in the ED as well as culture review of discharged patients - Providing drug information and assisting licensed providers to ensure optimal drug therapy for patients while immersed within the interdisciplinary team of a fast-growing Emergency Department St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center is the regional medical center and home to the state’s only Level II Pediatric Trauma Center and PGY2 Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Residency! In this position, you will be an active member of the St. Luke’s interdisciplinary team of providers and nurses and provide education to patients and staff in a variety of settings in order to provide top-notch patient care.  As an Emergency Medicine specialist, you will also have the opportunity to precept pharmacy learners at all levels across the system and be involved in quality improvement initiatives.    Required Criteria  -  Valid Idaho Pharmacist license  Preferred/Highly Suggested Criteria - Board Certified (BCPS or BCCCP) - Residency Experience (PGY2 Emergency Medicine or PGY2 Critical Care) and/or equivalent Emergency Medicine/Critical Care Experience The schedule for this position will rotate Wednesday to Wednesday every other week, working 10-hour shifts. Our Outpatient Team has a wide variety of roles which include:    Meds-to-Beds Technicians(M2B) fulfill medications for our patients preparing to discharge so they are able to take home their prescriptions and eliminate the time and energy wasted going to the pharmacy after discharge. The Outpatient Meds to Beds Technician conveniently delivers the medications ordered in their discharge treatment to their bedside.   Medication Historian Technicians (MHT's) work directly with our patients reviewing their medication history with them at the bedside. MHT’s reach out to our patients' pharmacies to review their lists of recently filled medications, and to current providers to obtain their most up-to-date medication history. This allows our technicians to review their medication lists for discrepancies, have changes validated by pharmacists, and work closely with the attending providers offering feedback of major findings that may have been missed. Medication Historian Technicians work in a dynamic environment with other interdepartmental disciplines like inpatient pharmacists, nurses, and case management/social work to provide the highest, safest quality of care available.   Mail Order Technicians coordinate the preparation of medications and ultimate delivery to the patients that prefer mail order. Mail Order Technicians help to Med Sync patient’s medications. They label the packages and call patients to ensure the copay is correct and that the patient’s medications are ready to be delivered in a timely manner.   Med Locker Technicians prepare and deliver patient medications to our Med Lockers conveniently located in our St. Luke’s Plaza, Magic Valley Medical Center and McCall Medical Center. Med Locker Techs communicate with patients when their prescriptions are ready for pick up, allowing them to pick up at their own convenience.   Outpatient Pharmacy Technicians (Central Staffing) who work in our main pharmacies assist the pharmacist in the preparation and delivery of medications for our patients. Outpatient technicians have direct patient contact and rotate through filling, prescription input, insurance claims, curbside, coordinate Med syncing and assisting patients at the counter. Outpatient technicians enjoy the hustle of working in fast paced environment with our fantastic team members!
