The RN will monitor work queue for Pulmonary Nodule Committee and review referrals with MD, obtain previous records and imaging, complete intake and discuss history with patients. Compile and send weekly list to committee and print and send letters upon committee review. Monitor work queue for Lung Cancer Screenings and ensure appropriate criteria has been met and documented for each order and coordinate as needed with physicians across multiple specialties, especially Pulmonology, Radiology, Oncology and Thoracic Surgery to ensure appropriate documentation, imaging, and timely follow-up of results for high-risk lung cancer screening results. Make and receive phone calls to and from patients, physicians, imaging departments, insurance companies, and clinics. RN will review and compile weekly, biweekly, and monthly reports to be sent to supervising physician committees and entered into national registries.
Monday - Friday (4 days per week is an option), day hours hours can be flexible once training is complete.
