Unit/Position Summary
The Certified Surgical Technologist is responsible for identifying and securing instrumentation and equipment needed for invasive procedures and demonstrating proficient use and implementation of the same.

COSM will bring together numerous complementary healthcare services, such as orthopedic walk-in care, a surgery center, physical therapy, pharmacy services, and many more. Patients will experience accessible and affordable orthopedic care unlike any other in the Treasure Valley. Our 230,000-square-foot facility will open to patients in February 2024.
Responsibilities
- Performs pre-operative procedures such as selection and placement of surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Assists surgeon and designated assistants in invasive procedures, passing instruments and supplies and anticipating the needs of the surgical team.
- During the surgical procedure provides instruments, sutures, and other sterile supplies.
- Helps prepare, care for, and dispose of specimens taken for laboratory analysis and helps apply dressings.
- Applies basic knowledge of anatomy & physiology, medical terminology and microbiology.
- Applies knowledge related to emergency situations and surgical procedures in the operating room.
- May develop, organize and deliver continuing education topics and/or training (in-services).
- May assist in precept of students and new staff.
- Maintains a safe work environment.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent

- Licenses/Certifications: Certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST) by National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) OR Tech in Surgery

Qualifications

Position Summary
Under supervision of a licensed provider, the Certified Anesthesia Technician assists with routine to complex procedures before, during, and after anesthesia procedures.
Responsibilities
- Under supervision, assists anesthesia providers by setting-up equipment and preparing medications.
- Assists the licensed provider with patient assessments, evaluations, transport, positioning, insertion of intravenous and other invasive lines and airway management.
- Assists the licensed provider in clinical settings such as the operating room (OR), obstetrics suite (OB), interventional and or diagnostic radiology, Post anesthesia care unit (PACU).
- Assists in direct patient care under supervision in routine & emergency situations.
- Acts as a resource and collaborates with other resources and departments by providing technical guidance and instruction as appropriate.

Qualifications
