Unit/Position Summary
Under limited supervision, the Charge Capture Specialist, is responsible for ensuring that all appropriate charges are captured to maximize revenue.
- Dev Ops usage
- Enter, track, update, and work to resolution any projects, initiatives, requests, etc. that is requested of or requires the CCS to spend significant time on (researching, correcting, escalating, resolving, etc).
- Revenue Audit and Compliance
- Partner with and be the main point of contact for clinical leaders in their assigned service line for anything charge related. (missing charges, charge routing issues, revenue routing, charge triggers, etc)
- Train clinical leaders on how to reconcile their revenue based on established criteria and timelines.
- Hold regular meetings (30-90 days) with clinical leaders responsible for revenue.
- Perform audit and QC functions of leaders’ reconciliation activities.
- Score leaders based on how successful they are in performing their reconciliation activities.
- Track wins and opportunities with the leaders
- Understand how charges are generated and triggered for their assigned service line.
- Responsible for exception based missing charges or charge issues for their assigned service line.
Responsibilities
- Identifies, analyze and reconciles billing errors or omissions by reviewing documentation and educate staff on proper charting techniques to reduce errors.
- Identifies discrepancies in documentation and reports findings to manager.
- Collects health information about services provided including demographic data, appropriate length of stay, third-party payer and continued stay reviews, and other related data concerning patients.
- Assigns codes for straightforward/complex recurring accounts by interpreting clinical data for reimbursement, planning, management, and statistical planning.
- Supports all providers in diagnosis coding as well as support billing with CPT and Diagnosis coding questions.
- Collaborates with department managers, directors and/or other designated contacts to continually improve and maintain the efficiency and accuracy of the overall charging process.
- Maintains the accuracy of charge capture documents and systems, including updating charge capture tools.
- Communicates with leadership, physicians or clinicians concerning diagnoses and procedures when questions arise.
- Analyzes and interprets company policies, procedures and state and federal regulations related to charge capture.
- Solves complex problems and seeks guidance for highly complex problems. May lead project teams. May serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.

- Completes psychosocial assessments and plans of care for identified patient populations.

St. Luke’s Health System in Mountain Home is seeking a Part Time RN to join our Med / Surg team.
The Registered Nurse (RN) will support the Patient Care Services unit (Med/Surg). This is a smaller-sized unit with currently only 15 inpatient beds. It is part of St. Lukes Elmore Critical Access Hospital and cares for an array of medical inpatients varying in age from newborn to elderly. In addition, this unit cross-trains with Women’s Services and provides care to postpartum patients and infants when needed. There is also the opportunity to cross-train to additional departments, including ED and Surgery. The Boise Neurology Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse to work with patients with neurological diseases in a fast paced, busy clinic who can foster a supportive and compassionate environment. The RN will be work closely with a neurology provider/nurse practitioner by managing outpatient patient care needs.
The RN will be responsible for performing routine procedures (rooming, vital signs, charting, medication assistance, etc.), appropriately triaging patient calls and messages, following up on test results, managing prescription refills as directed by the neurology provider. The RN will play a key role in providing education to patients and family members for ongoing healthcare needs as well as assist the provider as needed.
