As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our General Medical unit, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures. Medical has 26 private rooms, our primary patient population includes a little of everything! Including diabetes, sepsis, pancreatitis, GI bleeds, small bowel obstructions, pneumonia, alcohol withdrawal, substance abuse disorders, wounds/abscess/cellulitis and many others. We also take overflow from our sister units, Cardiopulmonary and Surgical.
• Nurse Ratio: 1:5 (1:4 with high acuity)
• CNA Ratio: 1:8
• Telehealth Nurse Support in Every Room
• EKG Monitoring

Job Summary: As a NICU Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care to newborns who require intensive medical attention. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and assessing the health of premature or ill infants, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, administering medications, and educating parents on neonatal care. About Our Unit
Our Magic Valley NICU is an 18-bed unit that is rated as a level 3 NICU. We are part of the St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital and provide care for babies who are born premature (30 weeks and up) or with medical issues. Our neonatologists or neonatal nurse practitioners are on site 24/7. Our dedicated nurses also help to support our Pediatric and Mother Baby Units.
