Ensures adherence to company policies, procedures, and related government regulations. Accounts Payable Assistant is responsible for assisting in general accounts payable functions. - Prepares invoices and requisitions for payment. - Reviews and prioritizes invoices according to contractual agreements with vendors. - Performs account reconciliation by verifying entries and comparing to balances. Accounting, Finance, or Grants: Accounting, Finance, or Grants Assistant is responsible for assisting in general accounting, finance, grant functions, applying accepted procedures and prepares reports to ensure accurate accounting/finance records. - Performs entry-level accounting, finance, or grant activities. - Prepares and keeps financial and business transactions up-to-date, applying accepted procedures. - Verifies and posts details of business transactions to appropriate ledgers and journals. - May proofread and post operations progress or other reports and make a monthly summary or recap of such reports as needed. - May type vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records. - Under direct supervision provides clerical/administrative support in one or more functional areas. - Performs standardized and routine clerical tasks. Compiles, files, and maintains personnel records. - Resolves routine questions and problems and refers more complex issues to higher levels. - May audit and proof reports for clerical accuracy and conformance to departmental and company regulations. - Assists in special projects. - Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
