St. Luke’s Health System in Meridian is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant 2 to join our Post Operative team.   Unit/Position Summary The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) 2, assists nursing personnel in providing patient care in assigned areas. Performs other skills/tasks as identified by the unit/department that require a unique body of knowledge/skills The Meridian unit provides ortho, urology, general, OB/GYN, ENT, optics, plastics services (everything but head and vascular). PreOp CNA’s bring patients into PreOp to prepare for surgery. They obtain vital signs, lab work, perform EKG’s, assist patient’s with changing and toileting, clean patient rooms, moving stretchers, etc.  It is a fast paced area with lots of movement. Also will be cross trained to  float over to PACU as needed to assist patients. This is a fast paced area throughout the morning and early afternoon, but it slows down towards the evening. The CNA is expected to take over the unit clerk duties at 1430, along with helping with patient care and stocking

St. Luke’s is recruiting motivated individuals who are interested in pursuing a career as a Pharmacy Technician for a PAID Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Program in order to prepare them for employment opportunities within St. Luke’s Health System's Pharmacy Department.   Our program is a ten-week apprenticeship program that is designed to provide our apprentices with the knowledge and skills to be successful in their careers as pharmacy technicians in the multiple practice settings offered at St. Luke’s including: hospital, clinic, retail/outpatient, transitions of care, infusion, medication access, and specialty pharmacies.   Our philosophy is to learn in a classroom environment, practice through simulated labs, and do in actual patient-centered pharmacies. This program is also designed to help prepare the apprentices to sit for a Pharmacy Technician Certification exam. The Pharmacy Technician Apprentice is in training to serve as a pharmacy technician. Activities of the technician apprentice are under the supervision and direction of the Pharmacy Technician Training Program Coordinator.   This temporary position is intended to allow the temporary employee to obtain the required certifications for a Pharmacy Technician position within the St. Luke's Healthcare System.   This class is due to start Monday, March 27th, 2023, for 10 weeks at full-time hours. Monday - Friday 7am-3:30pm   Position is temporary in status - not eligible for benefits.   Upon graduating the class, apprentices are transferred into full-time, part-time, or flex positions (based on your needs) as Pharmacy Technician 1 in our Pharmacy Tech Resource Pool. Pharmacy Technicians are regular, benefits eligible positions.

Takes actions to increase revenue, leverage resources, manage expenses and ensure compliance with all business and administrative regulations. - Manages and provides leadership to the practice team by monitoring and ensuring clinical, operational and performance management goals are being met. - Collaborates with leaders to deliver results around patient outcomes, clinical risks and quality, case management, utilization management, physician satisfaction, and patient satisfaction. - Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.   Minimum Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor’s degree or 4 years in lieu of degree. - Experience: 6 years’ relevant experience. - Licenses/Certifications: None required.
