Unit/Position Summary:
This position is for a CNA to work as a Rehab Aide, assisting the acute care therapists in the performance of their therapeutic interventions. The MMC Rehab Team consists of a dynamic team of physical, occupational, and speech therapists who provide their professional consultations to patients admitted to the hospital. The office and supply rooms are on the 5th floor of the Meridian hospital, but the Rehab Aide will assist therapists working on all floors - Telemetry, Med Surg 5, and Med Surg 6. Tasks include, but are not limited to: patient care, patient handling, preparing patient rooms for therapy sessions, preparing trays for speech therapy studies, providing hands-on assistance for the therapists during therapy sessions, stocking, inventory, and infection prevention tasks.

-Excellent communication skills and professional level language and preparation skills to drive meetings/presentations to high level stakeholders.
- Be able to discern causal factors to prevent or mitigate areas of risk
- Experience in Emergency Medical Services training and education is preferred
- Able to compile and analyze data to drive clinical outcomes, quality/safety, and maintenance of accreditations.
- Detail oriented, highly organized, and can be trusted to meet deadlines.
