The Domain Architect position influences and enables the IHT team’s ability to support St. Luke’s mission of providing high quality, accessible and affordable care. This Domain Architect position will focus on executing and delivering architecture services related to Clinical Architecture, in addition to other domains as assigned.   Job Description: - As a member of the IHT Architecture team, leverage architecture services, principles, standards, and processes to maximize the effectiveness, reliability and return on investment of IHT technology solutions, all while minimizing future technical debt. - Define and influence highly complex system-wide Clinical Architecture across multiple architectural domains including (but not limited to): Business Architecture, Data Architecture, Application Architecture, Technology Architecture, Cyber Security Architecture. - Exhibit exceptional people-skills and ability to build relationships and partnerships across the health system, at all levels. Proven ability to bring together people with disparate and occasionally opposing perspectives to build consensus and aligned support for optimal architectural decisions. Strong facilitation and problem resolution skills. - Self-motivated and driven to complete assigned tasks on time and with complete customer satisfaction and alignment. Able to work independently with minimal guidance while working within expected levels of autonomy.   Essential Job Functions: - Lead the definition, introduction, and implementation of Clinical Architecture services. - Mentor and advise others in matters related to Clinical Architecture and IHT Architecture. Considered the resident expert in Clinical Architecture. - Lead assigned Architectural Reviews as part of the IHT Intake process. Report Architecture Review findings and recommendation to Technology Advisory Council (TAC). Own the relationship with the IHT Service Team Contact and Business Partner to assure satisfaction with the Architecture Review process and findings. - With emphasis on Clinical Architecture and solutions, and in close partnership with IHT Service Teams; research and evaluate emerging technologies, industry changes, future-state technology planning, and market trends to assist in improvement of Clinical Architecture. - As required, support IHT project execution by providing consultation and advisement in realization of solution architecture. - Other duties and responsibilities as assigned   Competencies: - The Domain Architect will have proven competency in the areas of analytical skills, strategic thinking, creativity and innovation, Communication and Facilitation. -   Minimum Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree. - Experience: 6 years’ experience in a related IT role. - Experience: 4 years’ experience designing, integrating, and implementing Electronic Health Record (EHR) and similar healthcare industry solutions.   Preferred Qualifications: - Experience designing, integrating, and implementing clinical software and hardware solutions related to direct patient care and other healthcare system areas. EPIC EHR experience preferred. - Licenses/Certifications: EPIC EHR experience and/or certification. - Experience in mentoring and advising in matters related to Clinical Architecture. - Prior Enterprise Architecture experience with demonstrable achievement and success - TOGAF or similar Enterprise Architecture framework training and/or certification - Prior IT supervisory, managerial, leadership experience - Experience working with a healthcare provider/system as employee, contractor, or vendor
